Okay, what does that have to do with you if you don't have a rare disease? You'd be surprised! Most likely you already met or are related to someone with a rare disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the world, 300 million people have a rare disease \u2014 that's 5% of the world population!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
72% of rare diseases are genetic \u2014 i.e. they result from a mutation in the gene, not necessarily passed from parent to child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that's exactly where I and many others who have FD\/MAS fit in<\/a>!
